Resources for Integrating Technology into Vocabulary Instruction, Making Meaning Using Context, and Inferring Information
Vocabulary in Context is a wealth of resources and lessons designed by our Language Arts ITRT Team. The lessons provide a way to use multi-modal text to demonstrate understanding, have students collaborate, and meet essential learning goals. These lessons are most appropriate for high school and middle school, but elementary teachers could get ideas. Contact the ITRTS to help support your instruction.

Read Goal Ideas
1. Read book for ten minutes.
2. Write down the number of pages read at end of ten minutes.
3. Multiply that number by twelve to see how many pages you could read in two hours.
4. Multiply that number (what you should read every week) by the number of weeks in the semester. This will be the number of books you should read if most books are two hundred pages. (175)
