I am an animal lover and I love to read.
Folan was born in a fox den. As soon as he was born, his mother noticed something was different. He had splayed paw, and on his pad there was a spiral. He was born a Malcadh. He was taken away from his birth mother as soon as the Obea found his mother who went Bylang (ran away to give birth) and was taken to a trumfraw, (a place to leave the pup to die) next to a river and was left to die. After a huge storm wich Folan was swept away in, a grizzly saved him from the water and nursed`him and took care of him and gave him milk. She had milk because she had a cub, but cougars killed it when the storm started.
After the storm, they went to find her old spring den after they found the den and a couple months later Thunderheart (the grizzly) was fishing while Folan was playing with ladybugs and then she caught one.; as she pulled it out of the water, her claws dug into it and blood seeped through the skin and then Folan smelled the blood and his head popped up alert (she described his face so well.; it was so funny) . This part stood out because it was the first time he had smelled blood and all of his wolf instincts flooded, in even thought he had never met another wolf before. This book teaches you to treat everyone the same even if they look different. Folan was thrown out of his pack because of his splayed paw.
This book is really good especially for people who love wolves. It has a lot of descriptions for example, “He must sink lower, lay back his ears, and try as best as he could to twist his neck and shove his face into the ground and roll his eyes back. Adventurous people will love the exciting action, caring people will get stuck in the emotions, and animal people will love the facts and descriptions about them. Join Folan in his exciting story as he finds the pack that threw him out.
