I am very open minded and I like to be outdoors.

It all started with Twilight. I was in the 6th grade when I first started reading the series, and I was addicted from the beginning. Since then, I have loved reading about vampires and watching TV shows and movies that revolve around the paranormal. I highly recommend Vampire Academy for the following reasons: I love to read books about vampires, this book is filled with nonstop action, and it’s the first book in a six-book series.
First of all, I love to read books about vampires and other similar characters, and Vampire Academy is filled with them. The half human characters in the book are the Guardians. Their job is to protect the Moroi, such as the princess, Lissa, from being turned into Strigoi. The main character, Rose, is Lissa’s guardian and trains with another Guardian, Dimitri, to fight against the Strigoi. While Rose and Dimitri want to be together, they can’t because it will distract them from their one goal, which is to protect Lissa.
Vampire Academy is filled with nonstop action. Victor, who would have became King of the Moroi vampires couldn’t become King because he has a serious illness. He wants to use Lissa’s powers to heal him from his sickness. Lissa gets tortured until she uses all of her strength to heal Victor. Lissa uses compulsion on Victor’s partners and gets out of danger, then Lissa runs into the woods. Rose and Lissa have a bond, Rose struggles to find her and rescue her. Victor gets arrested and Rose finds Lissa and brings her back to the clinic safe.
They’re three main divisions. Strigoi are murderous and evil. There is only one known way to save a Strigoi from their evil, unnatural state. A silver stake has to be contained with air, earth, fire, or water. Next, is Moroi, which choose their rulers from among twelve families, they are said to be beautiful and pale. Moroi do not like being in the sunlight, although they can still be outside during the day. Dhampirs, are shorter and stronger than Moroi, many Dhampirs become guardians to protect the Moroi from the Strigoi.
If you like violence, action, or vampires I highly recommend Vampire Academy. It is addictive, and I’ve already started begging my mom to take me to the bookstore and get the rest of them. If you like reading series this would be a good book for you. Because it is a very good book, I think this book would appeal to any reader. Every student should read this book.
