I like to read and spend time with my friends.

When I was little, I would always have a book on my lap and usually be reading to my dolls. So I grew up just loving to read all the time. I even got to read to some kindergarteners sometimes when I was in second grade. One series that I loved was the Percy Jackson series. I loved those books because they are entertaining, the genre is fantasy, and because of all the different characters.

One reason why I like the series is because of the entertainment. All of the books in the series makes you want to never stop reading them. They are always really fun page-turners too! I like the fact that the series features some of the Greek gods which is cool to me.

Another reason why I like them is because the genre is fantasy which is really fun to read. Fantasy books are cool because of the different types of creatures in the books. Some examples are cyclops, nymphs, centaurs, hydras, etc. In the books, some of the different creatures go after Percy to kill him. For example, one time Scylla and Charybdis, who were horrible monsters came after him and tried to kill him. Though fantasies are fake, they provide entertainment to read about.

I also love how all the different characters work together to bring the books to life. An example would be that Percy, Annabeth, Grover, and Tyson working together to stop Luke from bringing back Kronos. Also, the character’s personalities work really well together. The characters range from a girl named Annabeth to a wind god named Aeolus. For me, if you have more and different characters, then the book is more entertaining.
I still like to read many books, but not to my dolls anymore. I’ve read all the books in the Percy Jackson series, and through the years I will probably keep on reading them.
