Before John Green, my life meant nothing. I remember the first time I read a John Green book… It was a dark, stormy summer night, and I was bored out of my mind. I had seen a lot of tweets about a book called The Fault in our Stars. I decided to download the book on my IPad and began reading. Before I knew it, I had finished the entire book! I began searching for more books written by John Green. I came across Looking for Alaska and read the first few pages and fell in love! I recommend this book because there is a major plot twist, the characters are really interesting and it’s suspenseful.

The characters are so interesting because they are all almost exact opposites and in a way they all relate to each other. The main character, Pudge, is a tall and gawky where his best friend is shorter and more built. They all have some sort of backstory or history that defines them.

The book is so suspenseful on many different occasions. The students in this book are mischievous and like to get in trouble. They pull a big prank at the end of the year every year, and there’s always that suspension that they could get caught. If they do get caught, they get expelled from the school.

The plot twist is in the middle of the book and it changes school for everybody. It affects the main characters the most and sparks a lot of suspicion.

I liked this book a lot because of the personality of the characters and how John Greene makes the book come to life. I would recommend this to anyone who likes to read. It’s not a very long book so I also recommend it to people who don't like to read long or big books.
