I play on a volleyball team and love babysitting.
My favorite part of Everything, Everything is when Maddy escapes to Hawaii. She writes a note to her mom saying she is running away. Then she packs a backpack, runs to Olly’s house and convinces him to take her to the airport. At first when Maddy told him, he was shocked. Maddy was confident that she wanted to risk everything. This scene is a very important part in the book because it’s so courageous for Maddy to do that. That’s my favorite part because Maddy is so curious and brave, that she wants to go explore the “outside”. Though it was really shocking to me that she would do that, and risk everything. In the book Maddy thinks she made the right decision, risking everything.
The life lesson of the book is sometimes you have to take risks. It’s teaches you this because Maddy risks everything and the results turn out better than she thought. The books greatest value is how much Maddy and Olly would risk to be love. Maddy risks her life and the chance of ever seeing her mom again to go to Hawaii with Olly. If I was in that position, I don’t think I’d be brave enough to do that. You will fall in love with Maddy and Olly, and their story. At the end of the book you learn that sometimes the biggest risk is not taking one.
